Thaddeus Matthews’ Bad Day – Every Day in America

Feb 01 2012 Published by under salt

Wow.  I rarely watch internet video and ask others to watch them even less, but this?  This has to be seen to be believed.

This video’s audio is horrible. It’s 16 minutes long, and it was edited with anti-Tea Party titles dropping in throughout.  Its foul language combined with  the relentlessness of the verbal abuse handed to this remarkably composed young woman in this teeny studio is disturbing to say the least.  And I hate watching videos (if given the alternative of a transcript, I always choose it – a much more efficient use of my time, you know?) but this has to be seen & heard to be believed.  I can only hope that this gentlemen is not a majority of Obama supporters, because if he is, it’s hopeless. The hatred is too baked in to reason with.  What a shame.

What happened to this man to fill him with such hate? The overwhelming majority of black people I have known, and loved, over the years (one extended & notable immersion of mine into black culture was when I worked for Inner City Broadcasting, a legendary, black-owned broadcasting company) have felt the sting of racism in America, and we’ve talked about it, but it surely didn’t bake into them like a poison like this… This is another thing entirely. This is taught. Someone taught him to hate this way. So sad.

If by some wild coincidence the man in this video or the person who edited it should land here, please know I don’t hate you, no Tea Party I know of hates you, and no white people I know hate you or anyone else because you were born with dark pigment. I’m so sorry that you feel this way, and I hope you find away to put down the heavy bags of rocks you’re carrying around. Those rocks are a burden made of hatred that you needn’t carry… Not in the America I know… and love.

h/t The Blaze.

Tea Party Flags vs. OWS Masks

Dec 26 2011 Published by under salt

I chuckled, bitterly, when I saw Time magazine’s 2011 year-end issue (see below) featuring OWS, remembering that in 2009′s year-end issue – the year OWS’s predecessor / polar-opposite Tea Party was born & became a cultural phenomenon - Time magazine made no mention of them.  Zero.  Zip. Nada.  An astonishing omission, for a “news” magazine, truly.

Remember:  Tea Party = 0 arrests.  OWS = 4,500+

Tea Party is the first movement in the history of human-kind to take to the streets to demand their leaders give them less.  Think about that.  They have been 100% peaceful, leaving the public spaces they obtained & paid for permits to gather on, cleaner than when they arrived.

OWS is out there leaving literally tons of filth & trash, pooping on police cruisers, pooping on people’s front steps, committing acts of violence, vandalism, and rape, putting small businesses out of business, marching past billionaire hedge fund George Soros’ Manhattan townhouse on their way to terrorize the wives & children in Republican hedge fund Manhattan townhouses, causing all kinds of mayhem, disruption, and even scaring little children just trying to get to school…

And Time decides that between the two, OWS is worthy of a cover? Really?

Does this visage look American to you?  Like mom, baseball, and apple pie?  Or more like jihadi, machete, and fear?

Why are they masked? Why hasn’t anyone in the mainstream media asked that question? OWS wears bandanas or these weird “Guy Falkes” masks – which are seriously creepy and not exactly warm-fuzzy-friendly, y’know?

Even if they wore “facial attire” that was “friendly” the simple fact that they feel compelled to hide their faces is indicative of shame, which is indicative of malice of intent.  You don’t stop and buy a mask before a spontaneous act for which you could be adjudged “innocent by reason of temporary insanity.”  Buying a mask or tying a cloth around your face shows pre-meditation, planning, and thought.  Tying it around your face and not, say, your neck like an adornment, or even your arm in a show of solidarity of some sort, shows that you want to remain anonymous in this bad thing you have been thinking about doing out in public…

Tea Party have been mocked for being a bunch of old fat white guys, and gals, on Social Security and waving flags.

I ask you: Would you rather have your 16 year old daughter spend a Saturday night with Tea Party or the person on this magazine cover?

Hmmm????

I found some more really scary Tea Party pix here. (I have no idea who these folks are.  Their pix are a good representation of the Tea Party as it really is, not as the media says it is, that’s all!)

Proof Please?

Dec 22 2011 Published by under salt

This was published in The Washington Post back on September 10, 2011, but I just came across it this morning.  It’s yet another in a long line of mainstream media hit pieces on the Tea Party which offer zero, zip, nada evidence to support their disgusting, slanderous assertions.

“…those who support the tea party movement show higher levels of racial resentment than do non-supporters…”

What a load of twaddle.

Try this little thought experiment if you doubt me:

If I ask you to recall the image of the second plane crashing into the World Trade Center you can do that even before you finish reading this sentence, right?

Okay… Recall an image of Tea Party racism. QUICK.

Don’t you think if they had it, they’d be running it 24/7 on MSNBC? In this age of cell phone cameras, you mean to tell me there’s not one video clip, not one still image of a Tea Party member holding a sign, yelling the “n” word, doing something racist? Really?

You may find some fool that showed up who is not Tea Party, but even that isn’t being looped 24/7.

They got nothin’.

Nothin’.

Obama’s Excellent 2012 Adventure

Nov 21 2011 Published by under salt

It occurs to me that Michelle Obama being booed at NASCAR is just the beginning.

You’ll note that the Obamas’ appearances of late have all been very tightly choreographed.  They almost always pack a crowd with friendlies, then keep the camera from doing any wide shots, thus betraying how much the crowds have shrunk since 2008.

You can’t campaign for President only in front of friendly crowds.

I know my Tea Party friends will comport themselves with dignity.

I will remind them to please always bring a video camera and have someone with you taping everything, because you will be set up to be the fall guy for some crank the other side tries to plant as Tea Party.

Keep calm, and carry on ;)

To Know the Truth of a Thing…

Nov 19 2011 Published by under salt

…sometimes all you have to do is flip it around.

Replace “OWS” with “Tea Party” and ask yourself – Who are the “domestic terrorists”?

How do Tea Partiers at town hall meetings, clutching printouts of legislation they’ve read, losing their temper with the congressman who signed off on it, who did not read it, get called “rubes” and “violent,” etc. when OWS, in the public square, clutching signs advocating revolution (vs. restoration) of the Republic, possessing an alarmingly perverted understanding of basic, American civics, and who feel free to poop on cop cars & people’s front steps, get warm-fuzzies from the media as the “best among us” as Van Jones described them on MSNBC?

Alan Colmes robustly & monolithically defended them, as recently as yesterday, when they’ve racked up well north of 3,000 arrests, and have, in every city, not just a few, but every city, caused mayhem, harm, vandalism, and even little school kids to be so scared of them they made them cry(!), and he & like-minded Democrats are still insisting it’s “infiltrators” doing the bad stuff…  just the”fringe”

Sarah Palin cracks a loud FART in Alaska, and MSNBC is wall-to-wall she aimed at it at poor black people, and ate tacos the night before so it could kill the ozone just that much more on it’s way there - then based on that thin gruel, they and NBC / CBS / ABC / PBS / CNN / NYT / WashPo / HuffPo, etc. deem THAT PROOF CERTAIN that ALL TEA PARTY ARE VIOLENT, RACIST, IGNORANT RUBES.

Again, I ask you:  RAISING YOUR VOICE.  HOLDING A SIGN. That’s the moral equivalent of what OWS has done?  I regard this movement as little more than domestic terror!  (Just replace “OWS” with “Tea Party” and ask yourself…) People are scared. They’re being physically, emotionally, and financially harmed by them. That’s not 1st amendment.  First amendment is showing up, saying your peace, and leaving a place like you found it.

Me?  I believe my lyin’ eyes…

…and the police reports, and the signs, and the filth, disease, rape, violence, theft, fear…

Pick!  Quick!  Your 16 year old daughter wants to go out on Saturday night to OWS or a Tea Party meeting. PICK.

Yeah… Thought so.

*KKKrickets* for Black Tea Party Congressmen

Nov 18 2011 Published by under salt

At least they’re consistent.

HEADLINE: “BLACK TEA PARTY CANDIDATE’S SIGN DEFACED WITH ‘KKK’” (NewsBusters’ coverage here.  Breitbart here.)

I’m thinking it wasn’t a pack of racist Republicans who did it.

I’m thinkin’ it was more likely a pack of racist Democrats, p*ssed off that he left the Democrat Plantation & f*cked up their narrative… which is why NOBODY has reported it.

*crickets*

If Sarah Palin cracks a loud FART, MSNBC is wall-to-wall with how she aimed it downwind to a black neighborhood.

And by “consistent” I mean that Democrats have been the party of racism from the first, just as they are the party of identity politics now. Oh, they cloak it in benevolent paternalism, but what it really is is a disgusting, sneering sense of superiority through which they maintain power at the expense of human freedom.

What’s that?  You’re suffering from a Progressive education?  You didn’t know that it has been the Republican party, from the first, and to the last, that has been the champion of liberty & self-empowerment for black, white – ALL people, and it’s Democrats who birthed the KKK and fomented the overwhelming majority of racist hatred towards blacks in America?

You forgot that Lincoln was a Republican?  Hmmm?  You forgot it was Republicans who broke the filibuster for the Civil Rights Act?

Democrats…When are you going to wake up that your party, which once had men like JFK to recommend it, has hopelessly devolved, has spawned a host of parasitic cockroaches infesting the media & halls of power, who are dangerously messianic in their belief that they know better than you how you should live your life and are thisclose to completing a century’s work of propagandizing the Republic right out of existence?

Hmm?

OWS’s Excellent Adventure: Crapping Across America

Nov 17 2011 Published by under salt

“Excellent Adventure: Crapping Across America,” subtitle: OWS Police Overtime Crushing Muni Budgets”

We can’t afford this.

When will the President speak up and exhort OWS to exercise their 1st amendment rights in such a way that the coffers of municipalities across America, already gravely strained, aren’t depleted to the point of affecting public safety / essential services for others - who aren’t having an Excellent Adventure: Crapping Across America, and might have a genuine emergency?

Whah?

That’s the plan?

Cloward & Piven?

Oh, yeah.  Right.

Remember:  Tea Party always paid their bills.  Always.  They always added to municipal coffers by paying for the proper permits, then cleaning up after themselves – not crapping in public.

And not a single arrest.   Zero.  Zip.  Nada.

Jussayin’.

Violent Tea Party Swarms

Nov 17 2011 Published by under salt

If I had a nickel for every one of their 3,500+ arrests…

Whah?  That’s an OWS poster?  Looking like some perverted mash-up of Tiananmen Square & Nazi Germany/Soviet communist propaganda?

Tea Party hasn’t had a single arrest in 2 years but Occupy Wall Street has 3,500 in 2 months?

Tea Party applies for & pays for the proper permits, says their peace, cleans up after themselves, then goes home?  Often leaving places cleaner than they found them and nearly always doing the clean up, from the first, without being told to do it from the stage?

OWS as recently as yesterday urinated in the lobby of a Bank of America branch they “occupied” in San Francisco? OWS has been photographed pooping on a police car? Trampling on an American flag? Raping? Robbing? Even murdering?

Huh.

But MSNBC spent 18 months saying Tea Party was viole…

Whah?

They’re propaganda whores for the White House?  Who’s lovin’ this?  Van Jones never really left the Administration?  He’s in their pitchin’ and organizing with Soros money paying all the printing costs, etc. for this whole thing?  It’s “organized chaos” from the top down for the bottom to rise up?

They’re frankly a little aggravated we didn’t do it for ‘em?  Which is what they were trying so hard to do all these months?  Make us be the violent mob, but when we wouldn’t they put Van Jones to work?

Who knew?

“Target” BAD vs. “Molotov Cocktail” GOOD?

Nov 16 2011 Published by under salt

Language and graphics every modern politician - “target” a district, etc. – used before the Giffords’ shooting, were instantly ascribed to Tea Party Patriots who were then, by extension, roundly, universally blamed for the Giffords shooting.

Every single Democrat who asserted this inanity can be found, on the record, in public, using these “target” terms since.  It took about a month for them to slip back into the jargon – which, to rational adults, is normal and unharmful!  It is as unharmful now as it was before the Giffords shooting.

Compare this, now, to OWS literally threatening to throw a molotov cocktail into Macy’s in lower Manhattan.

*Crickets* from OWS’ House Mama “God bless them” Pelosi, et. al.  Pelosi, who also has “heard this kind of hateful rhetoric before.”  Ditto the Congressional Black Caucus.

Joe Biden, speaking to a union crowd just the other day gave them an “atta-boy” for “firing the first shot!”

Never-mind the deafening silence from “the cops acted stupidly” Obama!

Add in the rampant anti-semitism, endorsement of violence, and violent revolution – not on the fringes but – permeating the movement and…

Hello?  How can the press sleep at night?  If for no other reason, one might think the New York ones would have their primal, survival instinct kick in and want to protect their children by reporting the truth.

I just don’t get it.

17th Amendment Repeal? “Morons!”

Nov 15 2011 Published by under salt

Tea Party Patriots are regularly mocked as intellectual rubes for wanting a return to First Principles; a favorite target of sneering derision is our longing for the checks & balances so exquisitely enshrined in the Constitution as it stood prior to the 17th Amendment, which was added (unsurprisingly) during The Progressive Era, to allow direct election of Senators.  It sounded like a good idea, “Power to the people,” right?  It’s absurd that we shouldn’t elect our 2 Senators per state, right?

Wrong.

If you’ve ever wished you had a ready argument for why the 17th Amendment qualifies as yet another bumper-sticker-idea-with-bad-unintended-consequences, in a long line of Progressive bumper-sticker-ideas-with-bad-unintended-consequences, here you go. From “Hamilton’s Curse” a book I heartily recommend:

In Federalist no. 10 James Madison remarked that the whole purpose of the Constitution was to control “the violence of faction,” by which he meant special-interest politics. The appointment of senators by state legislatures was one of the constitutional constructs that was intended to assist in this goal. It did so by limiting senators’ ability to sell their votes to special-interest groups nationwide. After all, senators who went to Washington and voted against the interests of their home-state constituents could and would be replaced on short notice by their state legislatures; the founders well understood that it is easier to manipulate the public than to fool professional politicians who follow the issues intently.”

It was genius the way it was intended. Everyone had a seat at the table:  the people‘s interests were represented, quite literally, by their Representatives, in the form of the House, then, moving up a level, each individual states‘ interests as a whole, were (intended to be) protected & nurtured by the members of the Senate, and then finally, all the way to the top, the country‘s interests were protected by the President in the Executive.

Then the Progressives removed one seat.

What hubris!  I mean, good God, the more I read about our Founders, and how they thought, and arrived at their conclusions, and crafted that “glorious liberty document” as Frederick Douglass called it, I am as convinced in the hand of God upon us as I was when I was snorkeling in Bonaire and saw the magnificent underwater world.  There was no way to swim under the Caribbean Sea and not see a Supreme, Organizing Hand.  There are things in this world that are just so magnificent, so exquisitely crafted & balanced, that you have to just pause, and realize how small you are to the giants among us, human, and Divine.

And I’m okay with that, you know?  I don’t bristle knowing there are people way, way, way smarter than me. Quite the opposite!  I thank God for them!  And am daily inspired by them!

And WE’RE Dangerous?

Nov 01 2011 Published by under salt

Democrats had a little get together in Florida over the weekend.

And not for the first time, a high-ranking Administration official referred to NEVER-ARRESTED, TOTALLY-LAWFUL Tea Party protesters as ‘tea baggers’ – a term the President himself used during an interview with Jonathen Alter.

‘Tea-bagging’ for those of you uninitiated is the act of one man placing his scrotum in another man’s mouth.

Got it?  Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, speaking in Florida this weekend, chose that charming term.  You know, Hilda… honored member of the Democratic Socialists of America, Hilda Solis.

So while YOUR PRESIDENT & HIS MINIONS refer to FELLOW AMERICANS with this VILE TERM…

…They are INCITING CIVIL UNREST… while characterizing us in yet ANOTHER utterly unfair way:

State and national Democratic Party leaders told Florida Democrats Saturday they can re-elect President Obama and U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson by rallying voters in a ‘citizen revolt’ against Republican Party policies being dictated by ‘a brutally fanatic right-wing group of extremists’ in Washington and Tallahassee.

Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, every DIVDE & CONQUER despot before him would be so proud of Bam-Bam, dontcha think?

The story is here.

Choo-Choo Trains, Windmills, & CCCP

Progressives regularly harp on Conservatives’ imaginary nostalgia & super-secret plots to return us all to the stone age or a 1950′s barefoot & pregnant America.

This is curious given the fact that it is they who have such bold ‘new’ ideas as choo-choos to nowhere (railroads between union heavy Democrat districts no-one will use) snaking alongside windmills a.k.a. ‘Bird Cuisinarts’ (er – wind turbines, which even lefty greenies say kill endangered species like California’s condors at unacceptable levels) and putting lipstick on a pig – er – ‘investing’ in ‘retrofitting our schools’ via a fresh coat of lead-free paint & installing weatherstripping on school windows when inside, they will still use textbooks from a world in which The Soviet Union still existed.

If it were up to us (conservatives) we’d bust all the teachers’ unions, eliminate all the bullsh*t educational degress you need to teach in public schools, replace them with 6 month certificates in basic educational techniques, and repopulate the staffs of schools all across America with people paid on a merit-based system, enthusiastic about the job of teaching kids who, in this craaazy scenario, would have the latest scholastic texts in digital form via taxpayer funded iPads (or Kindles!) for every student which will not only save money on dusty, heavy, outdated textbooks, but, because they can be freely/cheaply updated, improve educational outcomes by providing accurate information to all those sponge-like minds.

We’d drill, mine, extract, and otherwise exploit every bit of our natural resources – including so-called ‘green’ ones where the free market supports it – meaning, somebody actually wants it.

We’d eliminate all subsidies for public transportation, like Amtrak and those stupid airports that fly one person per day and sell them to the highest bidder where we could, or shut ‘em down and sell ‘em for parts where we couldn’t.  In their place will surely be market demanded shuttle vans, rickshaws, or Segues, but whatever it is, it will be what people want and will use.

But that’s just my anti-science, racist, knuckle-dragging brain-stem electrical activity which could barely be called thinking.

We Quit England Over This

May 10 2011 Published by under salt

They cannot force a man to take stamps who chuses to do without them. They will not find a rebellion; they may indeed make one.

Dr. Benjamin Franklin, in London, to Parliament.

They didn’t listen then about The Stamp Act, then the tea. They’re not listening now about Obamacare.

And they wonder why we’re p*ssed off.

You can find the quote here, in The Parliamentary History of England, page 147.

ObamaCare May 29, 1775

Yet more evidence we QUIT ENGLAND over this sh*t!  Look at this letter from a young British sailor relaying his palpable frustration that the crown cannot force those upstart colonists to buy a commodity (tea)…

May 29, 1775 British sailor H. Finlay on board the King Fisher, just off the New England coast, in a letter to his brother, shortly after battle with one Ethan Allen…

PCUSA cannot force a man to buy that commodity-1

Now, he describes the colonists as anarchists, which, of course, nobody rational thinks is a good thing. But taken in context, their reaction makes perfect sense. They were humming along just fine for over 150 years before the crown went Hey! Now that they have a century+ of sweat equity into some basic infrastructure that’s actually worth something, bloody marvelous! Let’s TAX ‘em and tax ‘em GOOD!

Mother England knew the landscape wasn’t dotted with weavers, haberdashers, or spice and tea dispensaries. It was friggin’ woods with the most basic to-ing & from-ing laced through 3,000 x 2,000 miles of dense forests, raging rivers, and big, bad mountain ranges. They knew they were picking on someone largely dependent on them for desperately needed provisions they simply hadn’t yet developed capacity for, either in resources, manufacture, or distribution. Many of the fundamental staples of early colonial life were available only by the FedEx of the day, european ships’ cargo, which, if they were headed for pre-Revolution America, didn’t deliver unless the King said so – and when they did, the King dictated what and how much… It’s not like they could call someone in India and have their tea just mailed to them. Given that America is (I’m just guessing here) the size of 50 Englands, it would have been just as difficult, if not more, to transport something, with no roads, via horseback, from coast to coast as it would from England to New England. They had a whole lot of land and not a lot of options. England had been in the import/export business for quite some time and the early American colonists liked the tea & fabrics and other essentials they were long familiar with.

It was simply unthinkable to many of them that they would someday not be subjects of the crown. It was, as usual, the one-third. The one-third, mostly upstart north-easterners, who whipped up a Revolution…

Health care is a commodity. To call it a right is to elevate it to life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness, none of which can be had via a pre-tax deduction on your paycheck, or by calling Blue Cross. Rights in America are like the Visa commercials: PRICELESS. YOU CANNOT PURCHASE THEM AT ANY PRICE. That’s why this fight is so important.

Read the rest of the letter in this volume at Google Books and just flip through some of the pages in the text.  It’s great stuff.
