Fluke Flopped. Enter Flynt.

Apr 02 2012 Published by under salt

The co-ordination between Wee George Stephanopolous, Anita Dunn, and Sandra Fluke having been uncovered, and the American electorate, thankfully, not buying their cynical ploy, the White House has evidently shifted their “War on Women” strategy to porn (hence the reference to Larry Flynt).

NYT was all over naked ladies yesterday.

MSNBC is all over naked ladies today.

Cue Obama to swoop in and save women from themselves.

“Here, put this on.  It’s an organic robe, dearie.”

These people are GENIUS propagandists.

B-B-B-Bad Breitbart!

Feb 11 2012 Published by under salt

I love that bad man.

Could he be any sexier? I mean… Forget what he looks like. Doesn’t matter. (When was the last time he washed or combed that hair?) Don’t care. He could be human Wesson Oil for all I care. A gelatinous blob in search of an artery to clog. No matter… But what he said! AH!

(Partial transcript below.) Enjoy.

“I’m just going to tell you right now, I want to end it on a media bashing note because that will uplift me like a Dionne Warwick final rendition. We’re watching you to play the race card MSNBC….

This is going to be the dog whistle election cycle… Ed and Maddow can sit there and call everyone who’s Caucasian racist. ‘I heard it. He used ‘is’ instead of ‘are.’ He’s a racist. That’s a dog whistle.’

…I bought a dog whistle. I bought a dog whistle factory, and I’m giving you dog whistles. And we’re going to listen to every word that comes out of your mouth, and we’re going to hold you to the same standard that you hold us which is an impossible one… America’s finally woken to your Saul Alinsky bullshit tactics, and we’re coming to get you.”

Proof Please?

Dec 22 2011 Published by under salt

This was published in The Washington Post back on September 10, 2011, but I just came across it this morning.  It’s yet another in a long line of mainstream media hit pieces on the Tea Party which offer zero, zip, nada evidence to support their disgusting, slanderous assertions.

“…those who support the tea party movement show higher levels of racial resentment than do non-supporters…”

What a load of twaddle.

Try this little thought experiment if you doubt me:

If I ask you to recall the image of the second plane crashing into the World Trade Center you can do that even before you finish reading this sentence, right?

Okay… Recall an image of Tea Party racism. QUICK.

Don’t you think if they had it, they’d be running it 24/7 on MSNBC? In this age of cell phone cameras, you mean to tell me there’s not one video clip, not one still image of a Tea Party member holding a sign, yelling the “n” word, doing something racist? Really?

You may find some fool that showed up who is not Tea Party, but even that isn’t being looped 24/7.

They got nothin’.

Nothin’.

Who-What-Where-When-Why, Anyone?

Dec 02 2011 Published by under salt

Daily Caller has this story about Politico this morning that made me go to the sad place:

“Internet traffic and Web search measurement tools from several sources indicate that despite massive promotion efforts on MSNBC and in other venues, Politico.com is rapidly losing readers, especially outside of Washington, D.C.

Measurements of U.S. Web traffic provided to The Daily Caller by Compete, Inc. indicate that the number of total monthly visits to Politico.com dropped by 31.8 percent during the 18-month period that ended on October 31.”

I didn’t go the sad place, really.  But surely Politico & MSNBC will soon if they don’t wake up.  Surely there’s one human organism, breathing in & out, working for either of those outfits, who hasn’t had the curiosity bone in their head removed, right?  There’s got to be one carbon-based life-form with a key-card to either of those buildings who understands who-what-where-when-why in the first paragraph, right? Understands a .gov website is for plowing through data to do actual investigative reporting, and not just for downloading & rewording White House press releases and publishing them as news stories, right?

One?  Just one?

MSNBC’s Alex Wagner Should be FIRED

Nov 14 2011 Published by under salt

I spent my life behind a radio microphone, so am loathe to call for any broadcaster’s firing, knowing as I do, how easy it is to step in it, but sitting down to tweet is a DELIBERATIVE* act, something done ON PURPOSE, after THINKING ABOUT IT, and this tweet was formed with CLEAR MALICE OF INTENT,  a DECLARATIVE statement making a DISGUSTING CAUSAL link from facts NOT IN EVIDENCE to fundraising from his outraged supporters, and thus, appears, to me, a non-lawyer, to be a LIBELOUS SLANDER.

Perhaps it’s short of the textbook definition of “libel,” so perhaps the law is not the place to seek remedy, but MSNBC should!  If for no other reason than to maintain the integrity (such as it is) of the brand.

*NOTE:  This is not to suggest that broadcasting is not a “deliberative act, something done on purpose, after thinking about it”:) but clearly, when one talks into a microphone, live, the nature of one’s utterances is far less regulated, and rightly subject to a much wider berth for forgiveness.

Grrr…

Nov 11 2011 Published by under salt

I was messing around with the permalinks settings and bolluxed up the blog.

Yes.  It looks funny.

I’m off to dinner, then will be back to address it.

GRRRR….

UPDATE Friday, November 11, 2011 6:42am: I bolluxed up the blog last night, still haven’t fixed it, and will do it, but I just saw something so jaw-droppingly STUPID I had to post it – even on my po’ bwoke blog.  (My babies, my twins, are 13 today, 11-11-11, so I may not even get to fix it for sure until Sunday, given our birthday event schedule which started last night and goes all the way through Sunday, but I’m hoping I can restore it to it’s epic beauty before then! ;)  )

Okay!  The STUPID thing:  Perhaps you’ve heard a new batch of Nixon tapes was released.  This isn’t, in itself, especially notable, because this has happened before – BUT – some of the tapes were Grand Jury testimony.  Grand Jury testimony doesn’t ever have to be released, unless the Attorney General decides that it’s of ‘such historical value’ it can be.

Eric Holder has just released just such a batch.

I learned about it watching a Politico reporter on MSNBC just now.  I ACTUALLY saw The Politico reporter have the words form in his mouth, and then speak them, that Eric Holder didn’t *have* to release this Nixon Grand Jury testimony, but did it because it was of such historical significance, AND BLOW RIGHT PAST that thought and go on to just discuss the tapes themselves.  OMG…

NOTHING?  THE REPORTER BONE IN HIS HEAD HAS NOT A SPECK OF CURIOUSITY AS TO THE POSSIBILITY THAT HOLDER HAS OTHER MOTIVES? JUST THAT HE’S DOING IT OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF HIS HEART??

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

THIS SCANDAL-RIDDEN, ISSA-HUNTED, BLOW-OFF SUBPOENAS A.G. would, evidently, JUST OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF HIS HEART AND ASSUMED PART-TIME HOBBY AS AN AMATEUR HISTORIAN…

RELEASE THESE NIXON TAPES?  TO HELP MANKIND?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

The lack of curiosity on the part of this reporter is, to me, akin to not ducking when you see an asteroid incoming.  It’s a BASIC FRIGGING INSTINCT that has to be BRED or SOMEHOW SOCIALIZED out of you TO NO LONGER EXIST.  It VIOLATES the NATURAL ORDER OF THINGS.

He should not only be FIRED, he should be ASHAMED of himself.

(I think it was Politico’s Mike Mullen, but I’m not 110% sure.)

CAIN UP – MSNBC’s Mika’s Audible SIGH

Nov 10 2011 Published by under salt

Quinnipiac – which is really a toilet paper pollster, but hey, it’s the latest and it upsets MSNBC so let’s have a look – in polling taken since the the slanderous allegations hatched out of Axelrod’s Chicago apartment house took off, have Cain UP in crucial swing states. (Human Events had a damning article last night on the unbelievable ‘coincidences’ vis-a-vis Axe & Herman.  Sorry I don’t have it linked here.  Please Google it.)

When Politico was briefing Mika on Cain’s continued support, thus, how nobody is buying thier bullsh*t anymore, there was an audible off-camera sigh.

Po’ Mika.  Can’t slander with impunity anymore, can you? It’s a b*tch having the axis of evil now that you didn’t have 15 years ago – Internet/Talk Radio/Fox – isn’t it, cupcake?

Raw poll data is here.  Haven’t seen it integrated into Real Clear yet, and haven’t seen any analysis of it yet, but you can peruse it cold… and smile.

What “R” & “D” Mean to OWS

Nov 07 2011 Published by under salt

If all the rich lefties on television think Occupy Wall Street isn’t a dangerous roving mob, they’d better wake up.  Rapidly.

They’re not animated by ‘D’ for ‘Democrat.’  They’re not going to mob-walk to rich Republicans’ Manhattan townhouses while walking past George Soros’ townhouse forever.  They’re just targeting the ‘least-friendlies’ first.

They’re animated by ‘Rage.’  That’s the ‘R’ we all need to worry about.

Obama’s fixed-pie demagoguery has worked.  They really believe that because Bill Gates made $100,000 in interest just while sleeping last night, they are $100,000 poorer.

Marxism’s evil really is beautiful, isn’t it?  You have to admire it.

Yeah… Well, the Marxist OWS cheerleaders on MSNBC may well be ‘admiring’ it while dialing 911 for a ‘pig’ to come clear their front door of the OWS mob when they show up for their ‘fair share.’  Here’s a clue, kids:  Your Manhattan doorman might save you in New York, but they know where your country house is, too.

Let me help you, Mika, etc.  Walking out on the front porch and saying, ‘But…  but… I like you!  I’m one of you.’ doesn’t change the their lyin’ eyes.  You’re not one of them. You have stuff they want and it’s only fair they take it.

Got it?

Herman’s “10 Day” / “57″ State Problem Explained

Nov 02 2011 Published by under salt

99% of America either:

(1.) Doesn’t follow the hour-to-hour developments on the ‘non-sexual’-but-’offensive gesture’-sex-’harassment‘-non-story, which is now what the Establishment analysts of both Parties (technically correctly) describe as a process’ vs. ‘substance’ problem.   It’s now become HOW Herman answers the questions, NOT a story on the veracity of the original charge in the first place.

(2.) Yup… But even if his answers are ‘evolving’… Nobody cares!

Know why?  Because NORMAL people think like Herman did, which is what got him in this mess.

Herman thought the truth would set him free. That’s why, even thought he had a heads up about this, he didn’t assemble a team of ‘Spinners.’

I firmly believe he thought he could just tell the truth… as he remembered it… coming back to him, as it understandably would after 12 years, in ever-more detailed bits…

I am personally troubled by the fact that Herman failed the ‘emergency on the trail’ management test, yes, I am.  But I am unmoved by it because I know, down to my bones, that it was a mistake made by an honorable man, who – and this is the real core of this – until he’d touched the Progressive Power grid, didn’t realize the voltage of that evil.  What’s new, is that the Establishment G.O.P. contributed to the electric shock.

Now he knows D.C. in this unique moment in time, when we have a culture, helped along by Obama, of pitting American against American… and Establishment (read: CORRUPT) GOP against New (read: HONORABLE) Tea Party.

My man Herman’s a fast learner.  He’ll not make this mistake again.  On the trail…

…Or in the White House.

BTW:  Remember Obama’s horrible, dreadful, inexplicable FLUB on drivers’ licenses for illegals during the ’08 campaign debates?  A flub made even though Hillary had been burned in the previous debate?  Nobody on MSNBC regarded Obama’s LACK OF FRIGGING DEBATE PREPARATION – KNOWING HE WOULD GET THE DAMNED QUESTION as DISQUALIFYING, did they?

UPDATE:  Morning Joe is jumping all over Herman for a clip they played of him which, to their ear, indicated that Herman thought China didn’t have nukes.  Uh… No, you dishonest brokers.  He’s using the normal, vernacular short-hand that everybody uses which is to describe they ability to nuke us from there.  Got it?

UPDATE II:  Just while writing the above paragraph, Andrea Mitchell and the panel lamented that the Republican Party is giving Herman ‘a pass’ and ‘not asking the questions’ they should ask…

Someone find me a puppy so I can kick it! AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?  DO THEY HAVE NO SELF-AWARENESS WHATSOEVER?  OMG!

Pass?  GETTING A PASS, ANDREA????????????????????????

You mean like you gave Obama ‘I’ve been to 57 states so far’ A PASS?????

And that’s not even the WORST, STUPID thing he’s said, before OR AFTER the White House!

Annie Prediction Comes True in ONE DAY

Nov 01 2011 Published by under salt

 Sometimes I’m just that good…

Early yesterday morning I predicted that Herman Cain would score a big cash bonanza from people being royally p*ssed off that he was being so grievously slimed.  Even MSNBC commies like Herman, because he inspires genuine affection. Not Bubba affection.  Genuine affection.  But here’s where the Bubba-lovers figured wrong – and – I think, Mitt Romney/Karl Rove figured wrong when they planted this story (That’s just my theory).  This ain’t 1996 anymore.  We’ve got internet, Fox, talk radio… We didn’t have that then.  Not broadly, anyway.  It was all in it’s infancy.  And the electorate is far more sophisticated than it was then about the occasional uptight, humorless b*tch trying to get a cash payday over nothing, – because she heard about Anita Hill from her Flashdance-at-the-gym BFF’s – which is what it appears this case was.  In short -

THEY CAN’T LIE TO US ANYMORE AND GET AWAY WITH IT… So…

To quote Charlie Sheen:  WINNING!

Not only was I right, I was RECORD-BREAKING right.  They had their biggest ever day of on-line fundraising, with donations coming in from people righteously clicking in their $upport!

From The Washingon TImes,  under the headline of:

Cain Campaign has Biggest Online Fundraising Day

‘…The campaign raised $250,000 in online donatinos in one day. However, one Cain campaign source confirmed to me that the fundraising for Monday is well over $300,000.’

Keep it up MSNBC… It only helps the cause!

“Biggest dunce in the world”

Oct 27 2011 Published by under salt

Chris Matthews just said that a man who holds an advanced degree in mathematics, led the Kansas City branch of the Federal Reserve, turned around companies, and has comported himself his entire life with nothing but dignity and grace, Herman Cain, is the ‘biggest dunce in the world’ who he hopes Obama is lucky enough to run against.

Way to stay classy, Chris.

On Foreign Policy “Judgement” Obama Wins? Uh-NO

Oct 24 2011 Published by under salt

If it weren’t so sad, it would be funny.

MSNBC’s Morning Joe opened this morning taking broad swipes at the GOP field for being foreign-policy-feckless, and furthering their point by insisting that we must have sound foreign policy judgement in the next President – like Obama’s…

Got that?  Obama’s foreign policy judgement is sound.  Okay?  Now, let’s remember:

In a 2002 Chicago speech – organized, by the way, by his radical friends Marilyn Katz, Bernadine Dohrn, & Bill Ayers – Obama called Iraq the ‘dumb’ war and Afghanistan the ‘good’ war.  Bam-Bam’s been dining out on that speech as the shining jewel of his FP chops ever since.  Over the weekend we learn, that this GENIUS-of-Foreign-Policy-Judgement has led us to the following:

1. IRAQ: OBAMA’s cynically political decision to have the Iraqi troops 100% home for Christmas will likely result in the worst kind of back-sliding, VERY likely redounding to the benefit of IRAN.  Even lefty analyists say so.  Result?  Yet another enemy of Israel emboldened THANKS TO OBAMA.

2. AFGHANISTAN: Hamid Karzai just told the world that Afghanistan will choose Pakistan as their ally AGAINST the United States should there be a need to pick sides.  Doesn’t matter, frankly, why or when we have to pick sides.  The guy we spent 10 years trying to help in the war Obama APPROVED of, HATES US – LETHALLY.  Not just diplomatic hate.  Take up arms and KILL YOU hate.

So! Obama was 180 degrees WRONG about BOTH of the big ticket wars we have on the ground he’s been PREENING he’s been so RIGHT about since 2002.

There’s nothing Herman Cain lacks in judgement, as a man, as a leader, to make SOUND Foreign Policy judgement that he can’t learn in a briefing book.

Obama’s problem is EXACTLY the OPPOSITE:  There aren’t enough briefing books in the world to help him – he’s too arrogant, too prison-bound in his ideology.

Sorry, Mika.

And do we even need to pick the scab of how he’s directly treated England?  Or Israel? When you consider that England & Israel have traditionally been America’s strongest and most important allies, and the unutterably shabby way he has treated them – IT’S LAUGHABLE that Obama’s FP judgement is admirable.

Laughable… Until you cry.

Remedial Interviewing on MSNBC

Sep 18 2011 Published by under salt

I should have known better.

I decided to pop on the tv to see a headline or two just now and what do I see but the funny little man with Chris Hayes on MSNBC. Mr. Hayes has just been given the distinct privilege of having his own national show – granted, an early morning weekend show on a network with 5 viewers, but – this is what I saw on the CC I keep on so I can just glance over and not have to actually listen. I’ll get a few words wrong but this is the gist of it:

Chris Hayes: “I find interviewing politicans incredibily difficult. It’s like, they don’t want to answer. I watch you do it and I don’t know what your style is but it’s hard.”

Rachel Maddow (funny little man): “Yeah… It’s a style thing…”

Okay. Let’s unpack this. I’m not going to spend a lot of time with this, as amoeba have better things to do, never mind sentient humans, but:

1. Should you admit that you don’t know how to interview a politician on “The Place for Politics” on your debut weekend show?

2. If you can’t do it, number one, should you not at least possess the analytical skills to determine how a skilled person does it? Which leads to…

3. No wonder you can’t glean a tecnique from the funny little man because a requisite quality for a skilled interviewer is courage, which s/he/it lacks – proven by her ball-less defense of Keith Olbermann when he needed her (he “discovered” her) and he utter unwillingness to conduct thoughtful interviews with people with whom she disagrees.

That’s it. Just off the top of my head.

It hacks me off when there are so many DEMONSTRABLY talented media types on the beach and this pasty putz splays his peacock feathers in a blaze of incompetent glory.

Unbelievable shamelessness, really.

Ed Schultz, Laura Ingraham & Morning Joe Irony

May 26 2011 Published by under salt

*snort*

The irony is lost on everyone.

There’s Mika Brzezinski, pitching her little book (God love her, really. She manages to stay employed & stay published despite having very little to offer intellectually) called Knowing Your Value (or something very close to that) a tome no doubt oozing with woman-power-affirming-estrogen. Taken on it’s face, it’s a very good thing for the sisterhood. So far all the talk this morning is knowing how to negotiate the terms of your employment with men. I will touch on that important topic before I get to what they haven’t talked about.

Having spent 20 years on the air in major market radio and having negotiated every single one of my contracts by myself, I recall the circumstances of my second to last one – while 6 months pregnant with my first child. I sat across the table with a man who shaved his favorite hockey team logo into the hair on his back. I swear to you I am not making that up. So, I know a little something about staring down testosterone. That negotiation produced my third 33% raise in a row. It helps when you have actual ratings – I was #1 pm drive in what was, at the time, the 4th largest media market in the country. That led to an offer some years later in which I negotiated – in addition to salary – airfare & hotel for my family for an annual vacation. All of this was based on my track record of ratings, performance, & being a solid employee – but most importantly – ratings.

Perhaps sh*tty ratings is what’s given Mika so much trouble in her negotiations, but I digress…

Not a single person on the KNOW, LOVE, & VALUE your ESTROGEN panel this morning took their colleague to task for being a misogynistic pig.

If they had any stones, class, or integrity at allany of them – they would have talked about Ed Schultz calling Laura Ingraham a slut – not once, but twice yesterday.

They should have, if they meant a syllable of what they said, encouraged their employer TO PROTECT THEIR INTEGRITY AS EMPLOYEES OF THE BRAND AND FIRE THE BASTARD.

I’m all for free speech. If this were a first offense, I would accept his apology, endorse his suspension and leave it alone. But this is not the first time he has been utterly, unforgivably abusive of the privilege he has been given by having a broadcast platform. Please note the distinction between the constitutionally protected right of free speech & the privilege of a corporation providing a platform to use it.

The first amendment protects your right to speak, but it does not protect your right to be heard.
