NO REPRESENTATION without TAXATION!

May 24 2011 Published by under salt

It’s time to revisit the phrase that founded this nation – in reverse. We’ve got 53% makers & 47% takers in this country. That’s too close to a tipping point, gang. Way, way too close. Obama likes to talk about having a ‘stake in this country’ and ‘equalling the playing field.’ How about everyone having some skin in the game, too? A couple of other prominent Americans had thoughts on the security of our Republic, too:

‘A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51% of the people may take away the rights of the other.’

~Thomas Jefferson

‘When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.’

~Benjamin Franklin

From The New York Times:

Is the Fair Tax Herman Cain’s Ace in the Hole?

Today's Economist

Bruce Bartlett has served as an economic adviser in the White House, Treasury and Congress.

Herman Cain, who announced Saturday that he was seeking the Republican nomination for president, spoke in March at the Conservative Principles Conference in Des Moines.Charlie Neibergall/Associated Press

On Saturday, the pizza magnate Herman Cain announced that he was running for the Republican presidential nomination. While he has to be considered a long shot, he has something going for him that could make him surprisingly viable: his strong support for the so-called Fair Tax.

The Fair Tax is a proposal that has been kicking around for at least 20 years. It would replace all federal taxes, including income and payroll taxes, with a national retail sales tax similar to those levied by the states. Indeed, a prime virtue of the Fair Tax, in the eyes of its supporters, is that it would be collected by the states, thus allowing for abolition of the hated Internal Revenue Service and an end to filing tax returns or keeping financial records.

15,000 at Cain Event! WOW!

May 22 2011 Published by under salt

From The American Thinker:

‘…The impressive size and staggering energy of the 15 thousand folks at Olympic Centennial Park gave the rally the feel of a winning movement. Sure, I am hardly objective. However, as a veteran of political rallies and campaigns off and on since 1980 — and a sometimes operative since 1992 — I do not reach that conclusion lightly. Frankly, I’ve never been to a political event that had this energy. The closest thing I can think of to describe it was the televised introduction of Sarah Palin in September of 2008 and a Reagan rally I attended in 1980 in Columbia, S.C.’

‘He don’t lie. He don’t lie. He’ don’t lie…. GO CAIN!

27 of 40 NYT Herman Cain Comments NEGATIVE

Former Pizza Executive Joins Presidential Race
By ERIC LICHTBLAU
Herman Cain, who made his fortune pitching soda, burgers and pizza before turning to politics, declared himself a candidate on Saturday for something that few others seem to want these days: the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

Those cuddly rascals at The Times! No condescending, patronizing there, huh?

Well, they FINALLY published one of my POSITIVE reader comments.  27 of the 40 that were in just now were negative. I happened to be on line the moment the story went up and for about two hours afterwards when I kept dropping back in on that page.  They published the first comment within minutes of the story going live and it was a snarky one from Texas…then nothing. Zip – for two hours.  Then I come back now around 8:45 and they’ve got 40 up, mostly negative (which, really, is unsurprising given the readership… but...) One could speculate…

Were they deluged with so many POSITIVE comments they had to WAIT to get enough NEGATIVE ones to fit the narrative?

My bet is ‘yes.’

Oops! In the NYT html code = “Bozo Comment”

May 21 2011 Published by under salt

I copied & pasted a string of my unpublished comment submissions (re: Herman Cain) right from The New York Times website, then, innocently enough, while preparing a blog post, got a look at the html code.

Oops.

Every single comment I submitted starts with the notation ‘Bozo Comment’! Now, I’m not Bam-Bam. I know this isn’t all about me. So, unless this is a code thing I am ignorant of (which is entirely possible) then this is their attitude towards us! OMG!

So, below is a screenshot of (a portion) the code of my unpublished comments. Then a screenshot of the first (and thus far only) snarky comment about Herman Cain theydid publish, submitted by some fool in Texas, who, by virtue of being in Texas ought to know better. Then, finally, the text of the unpublished comment submissions (which were visible to me only) from which the underlying html code screenshot was captured.

It’s fun to play with Progressives. I find their psyche fascinating in a repelling sort of way.

If he were a Democrat, would the headline be “Ex-Pizza” guy? Cuz I don’t think I remember “Ex-Peanut Farmer Gets in the Race” or “Ex-Community Organizer Gets in Race”

Funny how that happens.

I *love* this guy. He’s Obama’s WORST NIGHTMARE. He’s a living, breathing example of America’s BEST SELF. Oh, and just as a weekend bonus, he actually wrote his own books, and completely kneecaps the race card option.

Heh heh heh.

“Palin is ‘Dumb’” …Really?

May 21 2011 Published by under salt

I am voting for Herman Cain, all the way, even if Palin jumps in, so this is NOT a Palin endorsement, but she is NO DUMMY.

Palin wouldn’t have:

1. Said ‘corpse-man’ as COMMANDER IN CHIEF not 1x, not 2x, but THREE TIMES in 90 seconds READING OFF A TELEPROMPTER.

2. Any A**HOLE could spend A TRILLION DOLLARS and create jobs… EXCEPT OBAMA. BLS data shows precisely the OPPOSITE of what Bam-Bam touts. He says we ‘gained’ 2.7 million jobs. We LOST 2.65 million jobs from Jan ’09 – Jan ’11.

3. Palin wouldn’t have led both houses of congress HALF WAY into the NEXT FISCAL YEAR without a budget then BLAME IT ON THE OTHER GUYS.

4. Palin would NOT have us in Libya then tell Congress to f*ck-off when LEGALLY BOUND within 60 days to get their permission. And he’s a lawyer!

5. And speaking of telling our friends to f*ck off… ISRAEL. Palin understands the maxim ‘If Palestine laid down its weapons, there’d be no war. If Israel laid down its weapons there’d be no Israel.’

6. Palin wouldn’t have shut off WATER over a bait fish; which is bad enough, but Bam-Bam also stopped the flow of MONEY to the Central Valley of CA which struck me as over-the-top despotic. It was the FIRST TIME federal water had been shut off COMPLETELY, and he piles on by taking away money, too! America gets HALF of ALL its fruits, nuts, and vegetables from there. The lack of water killed vines it took A HUNDRED YEARS to cultivate, putting 45% of America’s farmers in FOOD-LINES in RICHEST FARMLAND IN AMERICA. There are LITERALLY tumbleweeds blowing though there… between the SOLAR FARMS being erected on the 250,000 acres of now fallow, once fertile, farmland. Solar farms, installed by Bam-Bam & Pelosi’s eco-terrorist friends…

7. Palin wouldn’t shut down oil and refinery activity in Texas over a lizard.

8. Palin wouldn’t have shut down ALL DRILLING IN GULF OF MEXICO. Even in SHALLOW WATERS. The problem with the Deepwater Horizon was the eco-terrorists wouldn’t let us drill SAFELY in SHALLOW WATER where we don’t need go*damned ROBOTS to kill a leak.

That’s just off the top of my head.

Silence is DEAFENING

May 21 2011 Published by under salt

You MUST pay attention to what’s NOT there, because it’s CRITICALLY important.

NOBODY on MSNBC is talking about Herman Cain. Know why? BECAUSE HE’S OBAMA’S WORST NIGHTMARE.

Be aware: Every candidate they MOCK or give “faux” fear to is a candidate they think they can beat. Every candidate they ignore, is a candidate that scares them TO DEATH, and that candidate is Herman Cain. Know why?

They have no argument without the race card. Without the race card, what’s Obama gonna run on? His record.

*snort* Yeah. Right. Like THAT’S a plan! No.

Obama is utterly f*cking LEGLESS against Herman Cain. Herman came from nothing, made something of himself and isn’t BITTER about being black. He LOVES AMERICA and it pours out of him when you hear him speak. He’s actually had to make a payroll. Obama thinks tax credits for green copy machines is actual help for businesses in recession. Please…

In the same way Bibi took Obama to school on Israel in front of the whole world yesterday, Herman will take Obama to school on what it’s like to be AN AMERICAN IN AMERICA.

Obama doesn’t have the first goddamned clue, the bitter, hateful, p.o.s.
