Way to Stay Classy, Skip!

I couldn’t agree more… This just goes to prove the old adage:  Just because you have “money” (Ivy league, etc.) doesn’t mean you have class.
Boston Herald columnist nails it, below.
Henry Louis Gates Jr. should learn restraint

Here’s hoping Harvard University professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. was kidding when he told the New York Times [NYT] he planned to donate the handcuffs used to shackle him last summer to the Smithsonian Institute’s museum of black history.
Even by his self-serving standards it would be detestable, attempting to wrap himself in the robes of a civil rights martyr, as if he’d been bloodied while marching for justice, rather than arrested for mouthing off to a cop who had ironically come to his rescue.
Whatever it was that motivated him to resurrect the ugly incident, Gates could not have exhibited poorer timing, especially for a so-called “scholar” whose expertise is history.
This is Black History Month, set aside to recall the price that was paid for freedom and progress. Even if he was kidding, Gates was still implying he deserved a niche in that pantheon of protesters who were beaten with clubs, bitten by dogs, leveled by high-pressure hoses, sacrificing their bodies for a cause they believed was bigger than themselves.
Gates? He locked himself out of his house, then became indignant and belligerent when Cambridge police Sgt. James Crowley, arriving at what he thought might have been a robbery in progress, had the temerity to ask for his identification.
That does not make the professor another Rosa Parks.
What exactly does he think those handcuffs represent? What’s the message he thinks they convey? Don’t trust the cops? Is that it?
Bad enough the rookie in the White House added fuel to the fire by concluding the Cambridge police had “acted stupidly.” But at least he had the sense to douse that fire by inviting Gates and Crowley to smoke a peace pipe in the Rose Garden.
Now Gates shows his thanks by blowing on the embers, and he does so in the name of black history, as if, in challenging Crowley, he had gone toe to toe with Bull Connor or Sheriff Jim Clark.
Black history is cheapened by such shameless exploitation, as it was when Ted Kennedy suggested “Robert Bork’s America is a land in which blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters.”
Courageous people were pummeled at those lunch counters for something much greater than a politician’s punch line or an academic’s ploy for absolution.
For someone who’s supposed to be a teacher, Gates still has a lot to learn, if not about history, certainly about humility.

Think the NEA under Obama would approve of either one of these?

The “Miss Me Yet” picture below originally featured a photo of a smiling & waving W. (He spent like a Democrat, but kept us safe like a MAN… unlike the radical-man-child we have now in the Oval Office) but someone who reads Michelle Malkin (who is a smart as she is beautiful) Photoshopped it and sent it to her and she posted it on her website.

The Obama picture below it, also from her website, seems the perfect flip side to this one, huh?

How can the left trash Brown for getting a book deal at 50, while not seeing the wild hypocrisy of enshrining Obama’s two tomes when he’s younger than Brown?  Helloooooo……??????

I’d bet my house not one lefty ever questioned Obama’s age when writing his two autobiographies the way they are questioning Brown’s getting a deal to write one…and again, Brown is at least a decade older than Obama when he wrote the first one.  At least….

I swear, if they could fix it so that the Gideon bible is replaced with “Dreams of My Father” in every hotel room nightstand in America, they would.

What about Biden Taking Credit FOR IRAQ????????????????????

Feb 11 2010 Published by under 250k, Biden, hypocrisy, Iraq, Maddow, Obama, taxes

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

UPDATE:  I posted the (black) text below several hours ago and then it occurred to me:  Joe Biden was on Larry King last night saying that Iraq will be a crowning achievement (or words to that effect) of the Obama administration.

WHAT?

They TRASHED the war.  TRASHED the surge.  OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.  If Joe had had his way Iraq would have been balkanized.  WHAT THE???????

It’s BREATHTAKING, their hypocrisy, really.  Gee, you think Ms. Rachel will run clip after clip of her boys trashing the war just like the video above?  I would BET MY HOUSE she will not.

There are some assertions here I could bicker with, but Maddow makes a compelling case for GOP hypocrisy here.  It’s TERRIBLE television.  I mean REALLY boring.  No wonder their ratings s*ck, but she makes her case… But I must respond to her “party of no” assertions this way:

Just because they’re hypocrites doesn’t make them wrong but they SHOULD be voted OUT OF OFFICE… And if they vote no against something of Obama’s I would wager because it increases rather decreases the role of government in our lives and/or increases the debt, so on those grounds, I’m all for it, but holding up checks for money they voted against?  She’s right.  Wildly hypocritical and grounds for voting them out of office.

The reason so many of us are watching Scott Brown and Sarah Palin so closely is that so far they’ve told the TRUTH and have the COURAGE OF THEIR CONVICTIONS.

All these hacks in Maddow’s piece holding up checks representing funds they voted against should be ashamed of themselves.  That’s not to suggest that I think the stimulus was a good idea… I don’t.  I think TAX CUTS could have resulted in far more sustainable growth and NOT impoverished our nation even further than it already is.  Can you imagine how much money would start moving through the economy if we gave SIGNIFICANT tax breaks to employers and a SIGNIFICANT payroll tax cut?  OMG.  Know how I know it would work?  BECAUSE EVERY TIME IT’S BEEN TRIED IT HAS WORKED.  Let me repeat that.

EVERY TIME TAX CUTS HAVE BEEN USED TO STIMULATE ECONOMIC GROWTH IT’S WORKED.

Oh, and one other thing:  I wonder if Maddow will take Obama to task for his “read my lips” moment when he said he’s “agnostic” on the subject of taxing incomes less than 250k…

Michelle Obama on Palin / Obama "Agnostic" on Tax Hikes on Incomes less than 250k

Feb 11 2010 Published by under 250k, agnostic, Michelle Obama, Obama, Palin, tax hikes, taxes

First of all, I gotta give props to the First Lady for her handling of Larry King’s question to her the other night about Sarah Palin.  It was a perfect answer.  Very classy.  Very classy.  Which, naturally, leads me to believe she was prepped for it by someone who, atypically for the White House crew, offered some non-snarky advice.

I know.  The props to Mrs. Obama didn’t last long.  I never said they would.

Secondly, “he who shall not be named” (so named because the minute you mention his name, certain people’s capacity to breathe normally and listen without a jaundiced ear evaporates) is reporting this morning that Obama has had a “read my lips” moment.

Evidently, he has said he is, and I love this “artful” word, AGNOSTIC on the subject of tax hikes for those earning below 250k.  See the full article here.

Has he heard of YouTube?  Do I even have to link to the dozens and dozens of times on the campaign trail that he said “not one dime” or do we all remember it very, very clearly… It’s not like it was a one-off, you know?  Not like it was off-mic, off-the-record, off-the-friggin’-reservation!!!!!!

AAAAHHHHHHH!  They have to-have-to-have-to-have-to think we’re stupid.  There’s just no other explanation, is there?

If a conservative screams and there’s no progressive willing to hear them, does it still make a sound?

Obama Talks about a Woman Who Wanted to be Buried in a Obama T-Shirt

Feb 09 2010 Published by under Breast Cancer, Buried, Narcissist, Obama, Obamacare, T-shirt

This is CREEPY… and SO WRONG on SO MANY LEVELS.

First of all, he’s doing that chin-forward-nose-in-the-air-taking-himself-way-too-seriously-thing-that-just-aggravates-the-heck-out-of-me.  And the audience does this uncomfortable laughter when they realize, surely to their horror, they HE’S NOT JOKING.
Second, it speaks to his unrelenting narcissism that HE is telling the story.  This is the kind of story, that if ANYONE from the administration should decide to make it public, is SHOULDN’T BE THE PRESIDENT. It’s vain and unseemly and beneath the Office.
Thirdly, this woman was dead of breast cancer in her early forties and under Obamacare WOMEN UNDER 50 WOULDN’T GET MAMMOGRAMS.  So to hold her up as some kind of example of why we need Obamacare is, as it is so often from this guy, disconnected from reality.
How much more of this can we take, seriously?  IS ANYONE on ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/MSNBC/NYTimes, etcetera EVER going to commit journalism EVER AGAIN and start reporting this stuff?  Or are we doomed forever to hard investigative reporting on the cc’d emails to Todd Pailn?  Who, I might remind the Palin deranged, is NOT AN ELECTED OFFICIAL.  NEITHER MR. OR MRS. PALIN ARE ELECTED OFFICIALS WITH CONSTITUENTS so what’s the deal with your obsession?  And if you MUST attack her, can we get some clips and facts and quotes and stats instead of all this nonsense about “style”?

Cloward and Piven Strategy of Social Reform thru Manufactured Crisis

Feb 06 2010 Published by under Cloward and Piven, Obama

When analysts scratch their heads and wonder “Why is Obama doing that?  It doesn’t make any sense!” I think, “Have you ever head of Cloward & Piven?”

So far, it’s the only thing that fits.  So much of what this administration is doing in utterly inexplicable.  When your only two options are “stupid” or “suicidal” there’s really a third:  Cloward and Piven.

CLOWARD-PIVEN STRATEGY (CPS)

  • Strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis

First proposed in 1966 and named after  Columbia University sociologists Richard Andrew Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven (today Piven is an honorary chair for theDemocratic Socialists of America), the “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Inspired by the August 1965 riots in the black district of Watts in Los Angeles (which erupted after police had used batons to subdue a black man suspected of drunk driving), Cloward and Piven published an article titled “The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty” in the May 2, 1966 issue of  The Nation. Following its publication,The Nation sold an unprecedented 30,000 reprints. Activists were abuzz over the so-called “crisis strategy” or “Cloward-Piven Strategy,” as it came to be called. Many were eager to put it into effect.

In their 1966 article, Cloward and Piven charged that the ruling classes used welfare to weaken the poor; that by providing a social safety net, the rich doused the fires of rebellion. Poor people can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them,” Cloward told  The New York Times on September 27, 1970. Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation; poor people would rise in revolt; only then would “the rest of society” accept their demands.

The key to sparking this rebellion would be to expose the inadequacy of the welfare state. Cloward-Piven’s early promoters cited radical organizer  Saul Alinsky as their inspiration. “Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules,” Alinsky wrote in his 1972 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judaeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system’s failure to “live up” to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist “rule book” with a socialist one.

The authors noted that the number of Americans subsisting on welfare — about 8 million, at the time — probably represented less than half the number who were technically eligible for full benefits. They proposed a “massive drive to recruit the poor  onto the welfare rolls.”  Cloward and Piven calculated that persuading even a fraction of potential welfare recipients to demand their entitlements would bankrupt the system. The result, they predicted, would be “a profound financial and political crisis” that would unleash “powerful forces … for major economic reform at the national level.”

Their article called for “cadres of aggressive organizers” to use “demonstrations to create a climate of militancy.” Intimidated by threats of black violence, politicians would appeal to the federal government for help. Carefully orchestrated media campaigns, carried out by friendly, leftwing journalists, would float the idea of “a federal program of income redistribution,” in the form of a guaranteed living income for all — working and non-working people alike. Local officials would clutch at this idea like drowning men to a lifeline. They would apply pressure on Washington to implement it. With every major city erupting into chaos, Washington would have to act.

This was an example of what are commonly called Trojan Horse movements — mass movements whose outward purpose seems to be providing material help to the downtrodden, but whose real objective is to draft poor people into service as revolutionary foot soldiers; to mobilize poor people  en masse to overwhelm government agencies with a flood of demands beyond the capacity of those agencies to meet. The flood of demands was calculated to break the budget, jam the bureaucratic gears into gridlock, and bring the system crashing down. Fear, turmoil, violence and economic collapse would accompany such a breakdown — providing perfect conditions for fostering radical change. That was the theory.

Cloward and Piven recruited a militant black organizer named  George Wiley to lead their new movement. In the summer of 1967, Wiley founded the National Welfare Rights Organization (NWRO). His tactics closely followed the recommendations set out in Cloward and Piven’s article. His followers invaded welfare offices across the United States — often violently — bullying social workers and loudly demanding every penny to which the law “entitled” them. By 1969, NWRO claimed a dues-paying membership of 22,500 families, with 523 chapters across the nation.

Regarding Wiley’s tactics,  The New York Times commented on September 27, 1970, “There have been sit-ins in legislative chambers, including a United States Senate committee hearing, mass demonstrations of several thousand welfare recipients, school boycotts, picket lines, mounted police, tear gas, arrests – and, on occasion, rock-throwing, smashed glass doors, overturned desks, scattered papers and ripped-out phones.”These methods proved effective. “The flooding succeeded beyond Wiley’s wildest dreams,” writes Sol Stern in the City Journal.  ”From 1965 to 1974, the number of households on welfare soared from 4.3 million to 10.8 million, despite mostly flush economic times. By the early 1970s, one person was on the welfare rolls in New York City for every two working in the city’s private economy.”As a direct result of its massive welfare spending, New York City was forced to declare bankruptcy in 1975. The entire state of New York nearly went down with it. The Cloward-Piven strategy had proved its effectiveness.

The Cloward-Piven strategy depended on surprise. Once society recovered from the initial shock, the backlash began. New York’s welfare crisis horrified America, giving rise to a reform movement which culminated in “the end of welfare as we know it” — the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act, which imposed time limits on federal welfare, along with strict eligibility and work requirements. Both Cloward and Piven attended the White House signing of the bill as guests of President Clinton.

Most Americans to this day have never heard of Cloward and Piven. But New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani attempted to expose them in the late 1990s. As his drive for welfare reform gained momentum, Giuliani accused the militant scholars by name, citing their 1966 manifesto as evidence that they had engaged in deliberate economic sabotage. “This wasn’t an accident,” Giuliani charged in a July 20, 1998 speech. “It wasn’t an atmospheric thing, it wasn’t supernatural. This is the result of policies and programs designed to have the maximum number of people get on welfare.”

Cloward and Piven never again revealed their intentions as candidly as they had in their 1966 article. Even so, their activism in subsequent years continued to rely on the tactic of overloading the system. When the public caught on to their welfare scheme, Cloward and Piven simply moved on, applying pressure to other sectors of the bureaucracy, wherever they detected weakness.
In 1982, partisans of the Cloward-Piven strategy founded a new “voting rights movement,” which purported to take up the unfinished work of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Like ACORN, the organization that spear-headed this campaign, the new “voting rights” movement was led by veterans of George Wiley’s welfare rights crusade. Its flagship organizations were Project Vote and Human SERVE, both founded in 1982. Project Vote is an ACORN front group, launched by former NWRO organizer and ACORN co-founder Zach Polett. Human SERVE was founded by Richard A. Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, along with a former NWRO organizer named Hulbert James.

All three of these organizations — ACORN, Project Vote and Human SERVE — set to work lobbying energetically for the so-called Motor-Voter law, which Bill Clinton ultimately signed in 1993. The Motor-Voter bill is largely responsible for swamping the voter rolls with “dead  wood” — invalid registrations signed in the name of deceased, ineligible or non-existent people  -- thus opening the door to the unprecedented  levels of voter fraud and “voter disenfranchisement” claims that followed in subsequent elections. At the White House signing ceremony for the Motor-Voter bill, both Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were in attendance.

The new “voting rights” coalition combines mass voter registration drives  -- typically featuring high levels of fraud -- with systematic intimidation of election officials in the form of frivolous lawsuits, unfounded charges of “racism” and “disenfranchisement,” and “direct action” (street protests, violent or otherwise). Just as they swamped America’s welfare offices in the 1960s, Cloward-Piven devotees now seek to overwhelm the nation’s understaffed and poorly policed electoral system. Their tactics set the stage for the Florida recount crisis of 2000, and have introduced a level of fear, tension and foreboding to U.S. elections previously encountered mainly in Third World countries.

In January 2010, journalist John Fund  reported that Congressman Barney Frank and U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer were preparing to unveil legislation calling for ”universal voter registration,” whereby any person whose name was on any federal roll at all — be it a list of welfare recipients, food stamp recipients, unemployment compensation recipients, licensed drivers, convicted felons, property owners, etc. – would automatically be registered to vote in political elections. Without corresponding identity-verification measures at polling places, such a law would vastly expand the pool of eligible voters, thereby multiplying the opportunities for fraudulent voters to cast ballots under other people’s names.

Both the Living Wage and Voting Rights movements depend heavily on financial support from  George Soros‘s Open Society Institute and his “Shadow Party,” through whose support the Cloward-Piven strategy continues to provide a blueprint for some of the Left’s most ambitious campaigns to overload, and cause the collapse of, various American institutions. Leftists such as Barack Obama euphemistically refer to this collapse as a “fundamental transformation,” on the theory that society can only be improved by destroying the deeply flawed existing order and replacing it with what they view as a better alternative.

Obama’s Early Ties to Radicals

I have NOT fact checked what follows, and there are some assertions in here that are on the fringes, to be sure, but this narrative includes some details on Obama’s life I have heard fragments of here and there, but in this they are collected in one convenient place!  Again, NOT FACT CHECKED, but entertaining reading because it expands on the Cloward and Piven strategy which, whenever I hear an analyst scratch his head and wonder “Why would Obama do this?  It doesn’t make sense” I think “Have you read up on Cloward & Piven?”  If you haven’t, you can find it here:  http://frontpage.americandaughter.com/?p=1878

“Is Obama following the Cloward-Piven rule book?

Yes, and he’s been following the Cloward-Piven rule book since he was recruited by Marxist professors and Pakistani illegal aliens at Occidental College in California to move to NYC to complete his undergraduate degree in poli sci at Columbia University.
Obama’s intellectual political mentor at Occidental College in LA from 1979-1981 was Marxist Professor Roger Boesche. Obama’s “guru and controller” while at Columbia University in NYC from 1981-1983 was Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Securty Advisor under Pres. Carter. Brzezinski is currently Pres. Obama’s foreign policy advisor.
In the summer of 1981, before transferring to Columbia Unversty in NYC, Obama traveled to Pakistan on the premise of visiting the families of his Pakastani friends. On this trip, Obama also visited India, Indonesia (to visit his mother), and Kenya (to visit his uncle, brothers, and grandmother). Interestingly, in the summer of 1981 the U.S. State Dept. was not allowing AMERICAN citizens to travel to Pakistan. This didn’t affect Obama because as a citizen of Indonesia he was able to use his Indonesian passport.
At Columbia: Both Obama and 1960s “Weathermen” bomber Ayers admit to attending anti-American rallies that took place at Columbia in the early 1980s. Ayers was studying for his M.Ed in Early Childhood Education at Bank Street College down the street from Columbia University in NYC at the same time Obama was completing his B.A. in Political Science at Columbia University.
In “Dreams From My Father”, Obama reveals that while at Columbia he “went to socialist conferences …in Brooklyn.”
“Then, after transferring to Columbia University two years later, he [Obama] found that “political discussions, the kind that at Occidental had once seemed so intense and purposeful,” took on the flavor of the “socialist conferences” he sometimes attended at New York’s [Columbia’s] Coopers Union.”
In 1984, Obama worked for three months as a community organizer for the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG), a Ralph Nader offshoot trying “to mobilize minority students at City College of New York, a school famous for hatching four famous Marxist professors (Irving Kristol, Nathan Glazer, Daniel Bell and Irving Howe) who owned or published ultra-leftist magazines like “The New Leader”, “Commentary”, “Dissent”, and “The Public Interest”.
1985 Obama is a consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation in Chicago, an organizing institute working throughout the Midwest.
In 1985, Gerald (Jerry) Kellman at Calumet Community Religious Conference in Chicago receives a grant from Bill Ayers at the Woods Fund, a Chicago foundation that gives grants for community organizing, to hire a new community organizer for the organization he heads called the Developing Communities Project (DCP). Later, Ayers and Obama are both on the board of the Woods Fund.
1985-1988 Obama is hired by Gerald Kellman (due to a grant from Ayers at the Woods Foundation) to be the director of the Developing Communities Project (DCP), a leftist Alinskyite community organizing subsidiary of the Gamaliel Foundation in Chicago which has Marxist Professor and former ACLU Director John L. McKnight as board director.
Professor Mckight mentored Obama while he was at DCP in the the agitation tactics of Alinsky, who wrote the organizing manual, “Rules for Radicals,” which he dedicated to mankind’s “very first radical, Lucifer.” Under McKnight, Obama says he got the “best education I ever had, better than anything I got at Harvard Law School.” (remark in 2007 while campaigning in Iowa). “My views are not so much more refined than they were when I labored in obscurity as a community organizer,” Obama wrote in his 2006 autobiography.
Fall of 1987 Bill Ayers links back up with Obama when they are “working” the same side of the 1987 Teacher’s Union Strike and both attend a Tom Ayers’ Chicago United “lunch meeting in a Chicago skyscraper”.
1987 Bill Ayers solicits Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour (a.k.a. Donald Warden) to raise money for Obama’s Harvard Law School education. al-Mansour is an orthodox Muslim, a black nationalist, an outspoken enemy of Israel, and mentor to Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton and his cohort, Bobby Seale. At the time al-Mansour associate Percy Sutton was raising money for Obama’s education, al-Mansour was the top financial advisor to mega-billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal of the Saudi royal family.
1988 The ABCs Coalition is formed and is coordinated by Bill Ayers. Tom Ayers is a key member of ABC. Another member of ABCs was Obama’s Developing Communities Project.
1988 Obama joins racist, America hating Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity Church of Christ in Chicago and one Sunday was brought to tears by Rev. Wright’s “Audacity of Hope” sermon. Wright admittedly became his mentor and spiritual advisor for the next 20 years.
1988 Obama writes an essay entitled, “Why Organize? Problems and Promise in the Inner City”. It is published in the August/ September 1988 edition of Illinois Issues which was published by Sangamon State University [now the University of Illinois at Springfield]. In ths essay Obama lays out his plan to politically organize “liberationist” black churches. He saw the black church as a slumbering giant in cities like Chicago.
1988-1991 Obama goes to Harvard Law School. Whenever Obama’s in Chicago “to visit Michelle”, he takes advanced training at the Industrial Areas Foundation in Chicago, a group founded by Alinsky.
1989 Tom Ayers (father to Bill Ayers) gets Obama a summer intern position at the law firm of Sidley & Austin LLP where he is introduced to Michelle Robinson by Ayers’ wife and fellow “Weathermen” bomber, Bernardine Dohrn, who Tom Ayers also got a job there for.
1991 Obama graduates from Harvard, is named as head of the Harvard Review and takes Michelle Robinson home to Kenya to meet his family.
1992 Obama heads Project Vote-Illinois, a subsidiary of ACORN. Afterward, head of ACORN-Chicago, Madeleine Talbot, askes for Obama to train all her lead community organizers in his Alinsky style agitation tactics.
and the rest ….is HISTORY……………
Yes, I DEFINITELY think that U.S. President Obama has adopted the Cloward-Piven Strategy as the official White House policy…
Yep, yep, That IS what I believe.

"Inalienable Rights" from Congress??????? I don’t think so…

THIS is what we knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing neanderthals are worried about regarding healthcare. The part about rights being given and rights being taken away in the text is the heart of it.  Aside from which, if passed, it would be the FIRST time in the history of the republic that the simple act of being born here would require you to buy something from a private business.  How un-American is THAT?

Zsa Zsa is Worried

Feb 03 2010 Published by under Glenn Beck, Obama, Olbermann

I watched the video below for one reason:  I have a friend who believes this stuff.  It’s 7 minutes of my life I’ll never get back but I did it because she’s a very smart woman and I am desperately trying to understand the source of her vitriol towards Glenn Beck.

There is NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING here – AGAIN – to back up her argument that Beck is a hypocrite, or that Ailes is “lying.”
Beck didn’t remember using the word “slaughter” then corrected the error HIMSELF on RADIO & TV.  This got Zsa Zsa all up in arms.  THIS is what Ariana Huffington (I call her Zsa Zsa because she sounds like her) hangs her hat on that somehow substantiates her argument (whatever it is) against Beck.
Ummmm… If she watched the minute leading up to the clip used below, she would have heard and seen, if she does in fact understand English, that HE IS TALKING ABOUT THE ECONOMY.
You have be indulging in the willful suspension of disbelief to believe that ANYONE would go on TV and ACTUALLY insist that the president is going to pilot a plane full of Americans into the ground but AMAZINGLY, this is what the left thinks!  This is what my good friend thinks, and I KNOW SHE KNOWS better.
As for Ailes, I can’t explain why Fox pulled away from the President’s visit with the GOP or why they covered the GOP reply in full except to take Mr. Ailes AT HIS WORD “We’re in the ratings business.”
Ummm… What’s the lie here?  HE IS IN THE RATINGS BUSINESS.  Fox is beating all the other cable networks so bad, that the hubris that Olbermann demonstrates is, like so much of liberal thinking, inexplicable unless you are indulging in the strenuous and willful, almost OLYMPIC willful suspension of disbelief.
If you watch the entire clip of Beck’s “slaughter” rant, there is NO WAY that ANYONE who understands ENGLISH can MISUNDERSTAND IT.  NO WAY.  You really, truly, honestly, have to work up a sweat to do it.
77% of all Investor’s Business Daily’s respondents believe that Obama’s policies are anti-business.  Every economist believes that we are on an UNSUSTAINABLE PATH with our debt and deficit.  Any idiot with a calcuator can figure it out.  And if you want to believe that Beck is an idiot with a calculator FINE. What is he WRONG ABOUT.
NOT WHAT GETS YOUR PANTIES IN A BUNDLE ABOUT THE BIG BAD WORD HE USED (ohhh… Beck said “slaughter” ohhhh….) BUT WHAT IS HE WRONG ABOUT????????
DO ANY OF THESE PEOPLE WATCH HIM OR DO THEY JUST TAKE THESE RIDICULOUS CLIPS AND GET ALL HUFFY OR RIDICULOUSNESS????
I would submit to you that ALL, and I mean ALL the compaints against Beck are superficial and NOT SUBSTANTIVE.  They have yet to CORRECT ANY OF THE FACTS he has presented.
When he ran his history of progressivism documentary NOT ONE factual error was made.  Know how I know?  Because MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, AND NBC would have been HOWLING about it.
I ask anyone who thinks he is a nut to focus like a LASER BEAM on the SUBSTANCE OF HIS ASSERTIONS and ask yourself IF HE IS WRONG.
