I admit I have only very superficially followed this and know precious little about it. WIth that qualifier, let me state what I believe to be facts in evidence:
People in charge of their sports program, including a respected coach, evidently legendary, had credible witnesses come to them about another member of this program, a grown man, diddling a 10 year old boy in the showers in 2003… and did not call 911.
And Penn State’s initial reaction, upon this becoming public in November 2011, is that the coach will leave – at the end of the season?
Thank God people came to their senses and fired these people last night. I don’t care who you are, whether or not you are a mandated reporter, or any of the bullcrap excuses I’ve heard.
You know that’s going on, YOU CALL 911. PERIOD.
Even for a moral-relativist Progressive, that shouldn’t be a hard call.
